Rates & Policies Rental Rates: The standard PEI DX Lodge rental is for arrival on Wednesday and departure on Monday. Extra days may be arranged, depending on the schedule. The logic behind this is a Wednesday arrival will give guests enough time to become familiar with the equipment before a contest weekend and then allow time after departure to prepare for the next guests. Rates are based on the number of licensed amateur radio operators. There is no charge for non licensed guests. First Operator $US 1,000 Second Operator $US 500 Each Additional Operator $US 250 Additional Days $US 125 per operator, if no guests are booked for the next rental period. There are four bedrooms available for guests. One bedroom has a single twin bed, one has two twin beds and two have queen beds. Additional guests can sleep on the couch in the Lounge adjacent to the Shack. Overflow housing is available at the Rodd Mill River Resort, about 1 mile away, except during the winter when it is closed. The rental rates include exclusive access to the shack (and all equipment and antennas,) lounge and bedrooms described above. In other words, not more than one individual or one group will be booked during the same period. You may use the house phone with your calling card. You may use the internet connection free of charge. Reservations: Please check the schedule above to see if the period you wish to come is available. If so, contact Ken, K6LA / VY2TT, to reserve that period. A non-refundable deposit of 20% by check in U.S. funds must be received within 30 days to hold your reservation. The balance is due by check or cash in U. S. funds (no credit cards) prior to arrival. Licensing: U. S. hams need only bring a copy of their license and operate using VY2/homecall. For information about CEPT or IARP permits, see http://www.rac.ca/faqgovt3.htm for questions about licensing. Smoking: The PEI DX Lodge is a smoke free facility. If you feel the need to smoke, please do so outside. If it is raining, snowing, windy or cold, smoke in your car. If you have any questions, please contact Ken. |
